SANTA CLARA -- Like the rest of the 49ers linebackers, NaVorro Bowman will be sticking around for a while.
Bowman agreed to a five-year extension Tuesday in a deal that will keep him under contract through 2018. Financial terms were not disclosed.
"NaVorro epitomizes what we look for in a 49er," general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement e-mailed to the media. "We are excited that the All Pro tandem of Willis and Bowman will be together in red and gold for years to come."
All of Bowman's fellow starting linebackers are already signed through at least through 2015 -- Ahmad Brooks (2017), Patrick Willis (2016) and Aldon Smith (2015).

Bowman is scheduled to address the media Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
