SAN FRANCISCO -- Joe Montana and Steve Young, together again.

The stars of the greatest quarterback drama in NFL history will reunite this summer for the "Legends of Candlestick" flag football game on July 12.

Organizers announced the addition of Young to the roster on Wednesday, reuniting him with Montana -- his old teammate, mentor and rival.

"Oh, I love it man -- two different dynasties and two Hall of Famers," said Roger Craig, the former 49ers running back who is also scheduled to play in the game. "One of them can play a half and one of them can play the other half."

Montana and Craig were on hand Wednesday for a photo shoot at Candlestick Park to promote what is being touted as the final football game at the 54-year-old venue.

A 49ers squad that also features Jerry Rice, Dwight Clark and Tom Rathman will face off against a team of NFL stars led by Dan Marino.

Montana, 54, said that having familiar faces such as Young on his side will make it easier when the time comes to dust the cobwebs off the old playbook.

"It's pretty simple, especially when you have a lot of your teammates. You don't have to worry about terminology changes." Montana said with a laugh. "Everybody knows what to do."
