LIVERMORE -- The city of Livermore has appointed Tamera LeBeau as its new director of library services.
LeBeau has served as the Livermore Library's assistant library director since 2006 and has worked in public libraries for 20 years. She was selected from a pool of 43 applicants from around the country and one international candidate. The position pays a minimum annual salary of $128,724, according to the city's website.
LeBeau previously served as a branch manager of the Sacramento Public Library from 2002-2006, and held several positions at the Nampa Public Library in Nampa, Idaho. She received her Master of Library Science degree from Florida State University, and served as president of the BayNet Library and Information Network in 2010-2011 and as chair of the Staff Development Committee of the Pacific Library Partnership from 2011-2013.
