PLEASANTON --The city of Pleasanton will unveil a new $1.6 million LED street light retrofit project at a public meeting Oct. 17.

The meeting takes place at 6:30 p.m. at the Remillard conference room in the city's Operations Services Center, 3333 Busch Rd.

Over the next several months, Pleasanton will convert more than 5,400 High Pressure Sodium Vapor street light fixtures to energy efficient LED lights. The conversion is part of Pleasanton's Climate Action Plan, and will save the city up to $200,000 annually, city officials said.
