DUBLIN -- City leaders want the public to tell them if Dublin is boring or beautiful, what they like or don't like about the city, and what is its reputation to residents and outsiders.

An online survey to help Dublin come up with a marketing brand is open through Jan. 9 at the city's website. Visit it at www.ci.dublin.ca.us/ and click on the marketing brand link to participate.

Both Dublin residents and nonresidents are invited to take part in the survey, part of a branding effort that also includes interviews with Dublin residents and workers.

City officials want a brand to express Dublin's unique identity, said Linda Smith, the city's economic development director.

"We want the community to speak with a common voice and purpose when promoting Dublin as a community in which to live, a destination to visit, or a place to start or grow a business," she said.
