DUBLIN -- The Dublin school district's advisory committee on improving academic performance of students with special needs is seeking applications from Dublin residents for seven openings.

The Local Control Accountability Plan panel will examine ways to close the academic gap for students who have limited English skills, come from low-income backgrounds, or are in foster care.

Applications are due 4 p.m. Feb. 21.

Applicants are encouraged but not required to be parents of school children.
