FRIDAY, SEPT. 21
DRUGS -- Police arrested a man who had fought with officers trying to detain him on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance near Ohlone Greenway and Schmidt Lane. STOLEN AUTO -- Someone stole a '96 Honda Accord from the 7200 block of A Street. Meanwhile, two stolen vehicles were recovered, including a '90 Acura Integra in the 5300 block of Cypress Avenue and a '98 Toyota Camry in the 10000 block of San Pablo Avenue. SHOPLIFTING -- Police arrested an Albany teen and released her to her parents after she reportedly stole several bottles of alcohol from a store at 1000 El Cerrito Plaza.SATURDAY, SEPT. 22
ROBBERY -- Someone approached a male pedestrian in the 11800 block of San Pablo Avenue and demanded his money. The victim complied and the suspect fled in a waiting vehicle. THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- A home was burglarized in the 5300 block of Cypress Avenue.SUNDAY, SEPT. 23
STOLEN AUTO -- Officers, with the aid of the department's K9 unit, apprehended a male suspect following a 40-minute car chase, ending in a brief foot pursuit near the intersection of Carlson Boulevard and South 37th Street. The suspect had been spotted in a vehicle that had been reported stolen near Arlington Boulevard and Moeser Lane. THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- A resident of a home in the 1300 block of Contra Costa Avenue reported that someone came into their open garage and stole electronics and jewelry from their vehicles. THEFT -- Police cited a woman for alleged petty theft after she reportedly stole money from the tip jar at Starbuck's at 3000 El Cerrito Plaza.-- Jennifer Shaw
