MONDAY, Oct. 22 THEFT -- Officers received a call from Safeway on Solano Avenue at 2 a.m. reporting that two men had just stolen alcohol and were last seen getting into a yellow and green cab heading west on Solano. CAR STOLEN -- Between noon and 4 p.m. a car was stolen on Kains Avenue. INTOXICATED -- Officers investigated a person who was passed out in the bushes in the 1200 block of Solano Avenue about 11 p.m. The subject smelled of alcohol and had beer cans around him. They arrested the transient man for suspicion of disorderly conduct. VANDALISM -- At 11:30 p.m. officers received a report that two men were seen tagging the side of Albany Bowl in the 500 block of San Pablo Avenue and were now possibly hiding behind a pizza restaurant on San Pablo. Officers located one of the suspected pair, a Hercules man, and arrested him for suspicion of vandalism.
THURSDAY, Oct. 25 WARRANT -- At 12:30 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle near Cleveland and Johnson streets for a vehicle code violation and arrested the driver, an El Dorado Hills man, for an outstanding warrant for two counts of DUI in the amount of $10,000. AUTO BREAK-IN -- Property was stolen overnight from a car on Washington Avenue. BREAK-IN -- A residence on Talbot Avenue was entered overnight, though the caller did not find anything missing. THEFT -- A bicycle was reported stolen from a the driveway of a Madison Street residence. PROWLER -- A Stannage Avenue resident reported that between 10 a.m. and noon someone prowled the interior of her unlocked car but did not take anything. THEFT -- The interior of a car parked on Talbot Avenue was prowled overnight and cash was taken. The caller requested that officers provide an extra patrol in the area. PAROLE VIOLATION -- At 9:30 p.m. officers arrested a transient man near Washington and Cornell avenues for suspicion of a parole violation. ROBBERY -- Officers received a call of a strong-arm robbery near Washington Avenue and Adams Street at 10 p.m. The subjects were described as two female juveniles and one male juvenile, about high school age. The subjects were reported to have taken a black leather wallet containing credit cards and cash.
FRIDAY, Oct. 26 AUTO THEFT -- At 1:30 a.m. a car was reported stolen within the previous 30 minutes from Marin Avenue. HOME BREAK-IN -- During the day someone broke into a residence on Dartmouth Street through a window and emptied out the closets. WARRANT -- Officers arrested an Albany man on the 900 block of San Pablo Avenue at about 8 p.m. for an outstanding warrant. DISTURBANCE -- At 11 p.m. officers contacted a person outside of Happy Donuts on the 900 block of San Pablo Avenue who was acting suspiciously. They arrested the Oakland man for suspicion of disorderly conduct.
SATURDAY, Oct. 27 THEFT -- A catalytic converter was stolen overnight off a car on Carmel Avenue. PUBLIC INTOXICATION -- At 8:30 p.m. officers received a call about a person in the Albany Theater parking lot acting suspiciously. Officers arrested a New York man for suspicion of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. ARMED ROBBERY -- Officers received a call at 11:30 p.m. reporting that an armed robbery had just occurred on Solano Avenue. The thief took an iPhone and was last seen traveling west on Solano.
SUNDAY, Oct. 28 RECKLESS DRIVING -- Officers stopped a vehicle on the 700 block of San Pablo Avenue at 1 a.m. for a vehicle code violation. They arrested the driver, a San Pablo woman, for suspicion of driving with an open container or drugs in the car and for driving with a suspended license. Her car was towed. AUTO THEFT -- A person came to the police station to report that his car was stolen overnight from the CVS parking lot on Solano Avenue. BURGLARY -- At 8 p.m. it was reported that a man on a bicycle appeared to be trying to break into a pay phone in the 900 block of San Pablo Avenue. Officers arrested the transient man for suspicion of intent to commit a burglary and possession of burglary tools.
