MONDAY, Dec. 24 STORM DAMAGE -- About 3:30 a.m. officers received a report that a large branch had broken off a tree on Ordway Street and was blocking part of the road. TRESPASSING -- Shortly before 9 a.m. officers received a report of a man sleeping in front of Vision Hair Salon on Solano Avenue. Officers advised him to move along. AUTO THEFT -- A car was stolen overnight on Marin Avenue. VANDALISM -- Vandals cut some of the small trees on Cerrito Street overnight. THEFT -- At 1:30 p.m. a man described as a Hispanic male adult about 5-foot-10 inches tall with a heavy build with a thin mustache, about 21 years old, and wearing a baseball cap had just stolen items from Beverages & More. DISTURBANCE -- Officers received a call from Albany Bowl at 5 p.m. reporting a man in a wheelchair in the bathroom who was swearing and refusing to leave. They have called about this person in the past. Officers warned the man of his behavior and he was allowed to depart. THEFT -- At 5:30 p.m. officers received a call from security at Target Store on Eastshore reporting that a man and a woman had just grabbed merchandise and fled in a white or silver Toyota Solara.
TUESDAY, Dec. 25 BIRDS -- At noon there were reports of stork-like birds in the street near Solano and Pomona Avenues.
WEDNESDAY, Dec. 26 DUI -- At 4 a.m. officers arrested a San Francisco man on San Pablo Avenue for suspicion of DUI and drug possession. THEFT -- At 5:30 p.m. Beverages & More reported that two men had just stolen a three-pack of Pedron liquor. They were last seen heading north on San Pablo Avenue.
THURSDAY, Dec. 27 DISTURBANCE -- At 2 a.m. officers responded to the Club Mallard in the 800 block of San Pablo Avenue on reports of two intoxicated people fighting and causing a disturbance. They arrested an El Cerrito man for suspicion of disorderly conduct. THEFT -- At noon officers arrested a Berkeley woman at the Target Store for suspicion of embezzlement. THEFT -- Items were stolen overnight from a car on Cerrito Street. THEFT -- Officers arrested a Stockton woman at the Target Store at 7 p.m. for suspicion of petty theft and for an outstanding warrant.
FRIDAY, Dec. 28 THEFT -- An unlocked car on Talbot Avenue was burgled overnight. ROBBERY -- At 3 p.m. CVS Pharmacy on Solano Avenue reported it had just been robbed of about $5,000 by two men described as black male adults. One was described as about 25 years old wearing a yellow hoodie and blue pants, and the other was described as about 50 years old wearing a black hat. The younger man had a small black gun. Officers are investigating.
SATURDAY, Dec. 29 VANDALISM -- Vandals tagged the front door overnight of Nippon European Motors on San Pablo Avenue. TURKEYS -- Turkeys were seen walking down Marin Avenue near Santa Fe Avenue at about noon.
