MONDAY, Jan. 7 DOMESTIC DISPUTE -- At 2:30 p.m. an altercation between a man and a woman was reported at the AM/PM on the 1000 block of San Pablo Avenue. Officers contacted the couple and they were allowed to depart. THEFT -- A bike was stolen from the bike locker at Albany Middle School on Portland Avenue during the day.
TUESDAY, Jan. 8 ROAD RAGE -- At 11:30 a.m. a woman reported being threatened by another driver who followed her off the freeway and stayed alongside while honking his horn and cursing. She had an added concern because she had a baby in the car with her. She said that when she turned onto a side street the other driver continued going east on Marin Avenue. DUI -- Officers stopped a vehicle on Buchanan Street near Jackson Street at 10:30 p.m. because the driver was driving recklessly. They arrested the driver, a Union City man, for suspicion of DUI.
WEDNESDAY, Jan. 9 DUI -- At 1 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle on San Pablo Avenue near Monroe Street for a vehicle code violation and arrested an Oakland woman for suspicion of DUI. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY -- Officers responded to Ocean View School at 8:30 a.m. on reports of a homeless man pacing around near the front of the school with his pants pulled down. They warned him about his behavior and he was allowed to depart. JUVENILE -- At 10:30 a.m. police were informed a student was in the Albany High office for possession of a knife and alcohol. ASSISTANCE -- Officers assisted a woman who had locked her keys and 5-month-old baby in her car while at Albany Florist on San Pablo Avenue. TRESPASSING -- The owner of Whole Health Apothecary in the 1200 block of Solano Avenue reported at 5:30 p.m. that a man and woman stole merchandise. They then returned it and were last seen in the neighboring laundry. The merchant wanted the couple admonished about trespassing. DISTURBANCE -- At 8:30 p.m. officers arrested a San Jose man near Dartmouth Street and San Pablo Avenue for suspicion of disorderly conduct. DISTURBANCE -- Officers contacted a Hercules man near Solano and San Pablo Avenues at 11:30 p.m. who appeared to be intoxicated and arrested him for disorderly conduct.
THURSDAY, Jan. 10 VIOLATION -- At 10:30 a.m. a man called to report that his ex-wife was on the Ocean View School grounds in violation of a restraining order. Officers arrested the Albany woman for suspicion of violating the court order. DISTURBANCE -- A Pierce Street resident called to report what sounded like a physical altercation between a woman and her daughter. Officers separated the disputing parties and the matter was resolved. THEFT -- An unlocked black Gary Fisher mountain bike with blue writing and a black saddle bag was stolen at 3:30 p.m. when it was left outside Marin School on Santa Fe Avenue for about five minutes.
FRIDAY, Jan. 11 HOME BREAK-IN -- At 2:30 p.m. a residential break-in was reported on Washington Avenue. The caller found a back window broken but did not see anyone and was not sure if anything had been taken. Officers did a search and about an hour later arrested a Richmond man on the 700 block of Curtis Street for suspicion of residential burglary. DUI -- Officers responded to a CHP call at 8 p.m. about an accident near Thousand Oaks Boulevard and San Carlos Street and arrested an El Cerrito man for suspicion of DUI. HOME BREAK-IN -- Between 6 and 8 p.m. thieves entered a Curtis Street home through a rear window and stole items from inside. DISTURBANCE -- At 9 p.m. officers received a call from a woman in the 900 block of Talbot Avenue that her ex-boyfriend was drinking beer outside her home and ringing the doorbell for over an hour. Officers arrested the Richmond man for disorderly conduct. DRUNK IN PUBLIC -- Officers responded to Buchanan Street near the USDA on reports of a man who appeared to be intoxicated and was walking in the median at 11:30 p.m. He was admonished about his behavior and allowed to depart.
SATURDAY, Jan. 12 WEAPON POSSESSION -- At 5 a.m. officers stopped a San Francisco man in the 800 block of Buchanan Street for a vehicle code violation and arrested him for suspicion of driving with a suspended license and possession of a switch blade in a vehicle. AUTO BREAK-INS -- A resident on Madison Street reported that between midnight and dawn on Thursday, three vehicles were burgled by breaking windows.
SUNDAY, Jan. 13 VANDALISM -- At 1 a.m. a Ramona Avenue resident reported seeing two white male juveniles with spray paint and toilet paper leaving the area in a dark green pickup truck. The caller also reported that his white van had been tagged and that this was the second time he had seen the juveniles in the area. Officers took the report. AUTO BREAK-IN -- A car was burgled overnight on Pierce Street in front of the Gateview Towers. During the day another car parked in the same area was broken into.
MONDAY, Jan. 14 DRUNK IN PUBLIC -- At 1 a.m. officers responded to the 900 block of Adams Street on complaints a man was intoxicated and refusing to leave. Officers arrested the Pinole man for suspicion of disorderly conduct.
