MONDAY, Feb. 4

  • HOME BREAK-IN -- At 3:30 p.m. a Beverly Place resident reported arriving home and finding the back door forced open. The entry is under investigation. Around the same time, an Ordway Street resident reported a home break-in and property theft during the morning.

  • HOME BREAK-IN -- A Tulare Street resident reported a break-in and theft of property.

  • WARRANT -- At 9 p.m. officers arrested a Richmond man in the 1000 block of San Pablo Avenue for an outstanding warrant.

    TUESDAY, Feb. 5

  • SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY -- At 4 a.m. officers responded to a call about a person on Ramona Avenue with a flashlight going through the recycling and garbage bins and issued a warning. At 8 a.m. officers issued a warning to a man with a shopping cart who was going through recycling on Jackson Street.

  • THEFT -- An Evelyn Avenue resident reported the theft of belongings overnight from his unlocked car.

  • ARMED ROBBERY -- At 1 a.m. officers responded to a call from Richmond police regarding an armed robbery that had just occurred at the Pacific East Mall on Pierce Street by two men, one with a handgun. The thieves stole a cell phone and a wallet and were seen departing in a silver Nissan Maxima with a damaged trunk. About 10 minutes later officers spotted a vehicle matching the description in the Albany Bowl parking lot. They investigated and arrested a Richmond man, a Berkeley man and a San Jose man and charged them with robbery and conspiracy.

  • THEFT -- Sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday a bike was stolen at Albany Middle School on Brighton Avenue.

    FRIDAY, Feb. 8

  • DUI -- Officers stopped a vehicle in the 1100 block of Solano Avenue at 1 a.m. for a vehicle code violation and arrested a Richmond man, for suspicion of two counts of DUI.

  • DISTURBANCE -- At 4 p.m. officers responded to reports of a person on San Pablo Avenue near Solano Avenue yelling obscenities at people and being aggressive. Officers warned the person about their behavior and he departed.

    SUNDAY, Feb. 10

  • ASSISTANCE -- At 2 a.m. officers checked on a person they saw lying in the roadway near San Pablo Avenue and Castro Street. The person appeared to be intoxicated and was taken to the hospital.

  • AUTO THEFT -- Officers received a report at 8 a.m. of a car stolen from a residence on Gooding Way in University Village and transferred the call to UC police.

  • AUTO THEFT -- A car was stolen overnight on Ordway Street.

    MONDAY, Feb. 11

  • DUI -- Officers stopped a vehicle near Solano Avenue and Madison Street for a vehicle code violation and arrested a Berkeley man, for suspicion of two counts of DUI.
