McEwen may be the sweetest cat you'll ever meet. He's 3 years old, nothing but calm and affectionate and seriously loves to get pets and cuddles. He has a deep purr that you can hear from across the room. When McEwen isn't purring into your eyes you can find him tossing his toy mice in the air or chasing his crazy circle around. This nice boy can get a little overwhelmed in a high-energy home, so he'll do best in a quiet home where he can be the center of attention!

McEwen has a fungal skin infection that will require ongoing treatment until it heals. While he has his infection, he is contagious to other animals and people; therefore McEwen should not live with anyone with a compromised immune system. Please ask a staff member for more information.

If you would like to meet McEwen, stop by our shelter during adoption hours 12 to 4 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at 2700 Ninth Street (corner of Ninth and Carleton) in Berkeley. To find out more about McEwen, please email cats@berkeleyhumane.org or call 510.845.3633 ext. 14.
