TUESDAY, Feb. 19 THEFT -- At 11 a.m. a caller reported that two bikes were stolen in front of a business on Talbot Avenue within the previous two days. AUTO BREAK-IN -- At 4:30 p.m. a caller reported that within the previous 20 minutes her purse was stolen after the window was smashed on her car parked at the end of Buchanan Street near the waterfront.
WEDNESDAY, Feb. 20 VANDALISM -- Vandals scratched windows and sprayed paint overnight on businesses in the 700 block of San Pablo Avenue.
THURSDAY, Feb. 21 DUI -- Officers stopping a vehicle on Buchanan Street near Interstate 580 at 12:30 a.m. for a vehicle code violation arrested an El Cerrito woman for suspicion of two counts of DUI. THEFT -- A catalytic converter was stolen overnight from a car on Talbot Avenue. WARRANT -- At 4:30 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle with paper plates at the Target Store on the 1000 block of Eastshore for a vehicle code violation and an Emeryville man for an outstanding warrant. AUTO THEFT -- A car was reported stolen overnight on Kains Avenue. DUI -- Shortly before midnight officers stopped a vehicle on the 900 block of San Pablo Avenue for a vehicle code violation and arrested a Hayward man for suspicion of DUI and driving with a suspended license.
FRIDAY, Feb. 22 DUI -- Officers stopped a vehicle on the 800 block of Buchanan Street at 2 a.m. for a vehicle code violation and arrested a Richmond man for suspicion of two counts of DUI. SUSPICIOUS THEFT -- At noon a caller reported observing a man who appeared to be looking into a UPS box on Cornell Avenue. The caller said the person then tossed the package into a truck with a camper shell and drove off at a high rate of speed.
SATURDAY, Feb. 23 DUI -- At 1 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle near Stannage and Washington avenues for a vehicle code violation and arrested the driver, an Albany man, for suspicion of DUI. DISTURBANCE -- Officers responded to complaints of a noisy group of about 10 people in the Albany Bowl parking lot about 2 a.m. The group quieted down and dispersed when officers advised them of the complaint. AUTO THEFT -- A car was reported stolen on Pomona Avenue. NUMEROUS THEFTS -- Property was stolen overnight from unlocked cars parked on Sonoma, Neilson and Curtis streets. DISTURBANCE -- At 4:30 p.m. officers responded to calls and issued a warning to a small group of juveniles on the roof at Marin School on the 1000 block of Santa Fe Avenue. WARRANT -- Officers investigating suspicious activity at the Goodyear shop in the 400 block of San Pablo Avenue at 9 p.m. arrested a Richmond woman for an outstanding warrant.
