MONDAY, March 4

  • THEFT -- A bike was stolen overnight on Solano Avenue.

  • INTRUDER -- At 5:30 p.m. a Polk Street resident reported that about 20 minutes prior a white male adult, about 26 years old, tall with red hair and a stubble beard, wearing a dark jacket and jeans, walked into the caller's home and then departed as soon as they saw him. He was last seen walking west on Washington Avenue.

  • THEFT -- A bike was reported stolen on Washington Avenue.

  • ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN -- At 6 p.m. a Hillside Avenue resident reported that a screen and the door to the home appeared to have been damaged in a possible attempted break-in.

    TUESDAY, March 5

  • HOME BREAK-IN -- A Peralta Avenue resident called at 4:30 p.m. to report a home burglary.

  • HOME BREAK-IN -- At 9:30 p.m. a resident on Pierce Street reported that they just discovered that their home had been broken into. Officers are investigating.

    WEDNESDAY, March 6

  • THEFT -- A bicycle was stolen from the rear yard of a residence on Kains Avenue.

  • BURGLARY -- At 2 p.m. officers responded to the Alta Bates parking lot in the 500 block of San Pablo Avenue when a caller reported observing two people going through the parking lot and trying to open car doors and opening the caller's car door. Officers located and arrested the suspects, a Hercules man and a Berkeley man, for suspicion of burglary and a probation violation.

  • ASSAULT -- Officers responding to the area near San Pablo and Solano avenues on reports of a person being attacked arrested a Pleasanton man for suspicion of battery and resisting arrest.

    THURSDAY, March 7

  • TRESPASSING -- At 4 p.m. Golden Gate Fields security requested assistance with a person who was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave after being escorted off the property and returning. Officers arrested the Union City man for suspicion of disorderly conduct.

    FRIDAY, March 8

  • DISTURBANCE -- Officers received a call at 10:30 a.m. regarding a man in the parking lot of the AM/PM market on San Pablo Avenue. Officers issued a warning to the man about the complaints and he was allowed to depart.

  • THEFT -- The wheels were stolen off a bike on the racks in the garage of Brittany Arms on Kains Avenue.

  • DOUBLE THEFT -- Officers are investigating a 3:30 p.m. report that a man had just stolen merchandise from the Albany Hill Mini Mart on San Pablo Avenue. A few minutes later officers received a call from Beverages and More on San Pablo Avenue that a person of the same description had just stolen items.

    SATURDAY, March 9

  • DUI -- Shortly after midnight officers stopped a vehicle near Ramona and Marin avenues for a vehicle code violation and arrested a Berkeley man for suspicion of DUI.

  • DUI -- At 3 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle near Buchanan and Jackson streets for a vehicle code violation and arrested an Albany man for suspicion of two counts of DUI.

  • AUTO THEFT -- A car was stolen overnight on Peralta Avenue.

  • ROBBERY -- Officers responding to an attempted purse theft near Casper's Hot Dogs at 4 p.m. located and arrested an Albany man in the 500 block of San Pablo Avenue for suspicion of robbery and having a prior conviction.

  • AUTO RECOVERED -- Officers investigating a vehicle parked on Evelyn Avenue for over 10 days found it had been reported as stolen out of Rodeo and notified the owner.

    SUNDAY, March 10

  • DRUGS -- At 11 p.m. officers arrested an Albany man in the 1100 block of Cornell Avenue for suspicion of two counts of drug possession.
