Welcome back to Indonesia and the third leg of "The Amazing Race." The hyper twins, who finished first on the last leg, rip their clue, learn there is a U-turn ahead, and take off fast, which turns out to be silly because neither of them know where to go.
They hook up with Team Texas, but when they also are clueless about the clue, the twins decide to wait for the Chippendale dancers figuring three teams that don't know anything is better than two.
That doesn't work out as the Chipps don't where they are going either and eventually, as more teams are released to race, the teams just jump into cabs and race off.
Team Texas, Trey and Lexi, arrive at the clue
Team Chippendale rips the clue and learns that they have to catch a train to Bangil. Other teams follow and Team Shrieking Twins finally arrive and we learn that when one of them screams at the other, which they do frequently, it actually calms them down. Who knew?
Meanwhile, back on the train, three of the teams decide not to U-turn anyone, but Team Long Hair, No Care is sitting in the back of the train, doing their own thing and are not part of the agreement.
Soon, a young man comes by handing out clues for the detour.
Back at the train station, the rest of the teams have caught up and are waiting for the next train.
The choice is Lion's head or Egg head. In Lion's head, teams must wear 40-pound lion heads, join a parade and do some dance steps. In Egg head, teams must buy eggs then cook them on their heads. Seriously. They put half a flaming coconut on top of their heads and fry an egg one it.
Team Dating Divorcees, Team Texas, Team Long Hair, No Care and Team Chippendales choose the parade; Team Beekman Boys head off for the head cooking.
All of the dancing teams finish the task first, but the Beekman Boys eggs cooked quickly, leaving them in fourth place. The teams arrive at a double U-turn. Two teams can U-turn a team each, but what's different this time is that the U-Turner can remain anonymous. None of the first five teams use the U-turn, and they race off to a school, which is the next pit stop.
Meanwhile, the second train arrives. Team Substitute Teachers have problems getting off the train, and then they don't know what a "doocab" or "peecab" is. Uh, it's a pedalled operated cab and they finally figure it out, complaining all the way about the slowness of their driver.
All of the teams pick the Lion's head detour, but Team Barbie loses valuable time yelling at their pedicab driver over how much they owe. Imagine, the nerve of the guy not to speak English, and all that screaming doesn't seem to leave anyone with a feeling of Zen. The Twins finish the task first, followed by the Barbies, the Monster Truckers and the Subs.
The Twins decide not to use the U-turn, but the Monster Truckers U-turned the Subs, who were in last place anyway. But wait, Team Barbie gets lost and the Substitute Teachers reach the U-turn first. After trying to decide who might be behind them, they pick ... the wrong team, U-Turning the Monster Truckers who had already finished the leg. They then rush off to do the head cooking.
But all is not lost as the Barbies still can't find the U-turn mat. The teachers have cooked their eggs and eaten them before the Barbies find the box and head off to the pit stop.
Team Dating Divorcees finish first for the second time, followed by Team Texas. The Chippendales finish third, followed by Long Hair, No Care. After eating their eggs with hot sauce, the Beekman Boys race off to the finish in fifth place.
Team Twins finish in sixth place, the Monster Truckers finish in seventh, and after a dramatic and unexpected turn of events, Gary and Will, the substitute teachers, finish in eighth when Caitlyn and Brittany's driver took the wrong fork. Team Barbie is Phileminated and learn a valuable lesson -- never underestimate taxi karma.
Next week: The teams are off the Bangladesh, and instead of bad taxi karma, it appears to be bad boat karma for one team.
