BERKELEY -- Police did not find a victim following a shooting in a bathroom at a disability services center Thursday afternoon.

Police found at least one shell casing in the first-floor bathroom at the Ed Roberts Center, which is located at the Ashby BART Station.

Police are not certain that a person was actually struck by a bullet but checked area hospitals for a possible victim and did not find one, police said. The shooting occurred about 1 p.m. and the investigation is ongoing. No arrests were made.

The campus, which opened two years ago, is a one-stop center for disability services, and serves about 30,000 people annually.
