Tom Cruise has signed up for a fifth "Mission: Impossible" film.
Why not? When the bank leaves the vault open and puts out a welcome mat, what else are you going to do?
Deadline Hollywood reported that Cruise will produce the film, along with J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot company, which produced the last two films. No word yet on who will direct or write the screenplay. Nor is there a start date.
The franchise has, so far, grossed more than $700 million. The last installment, "Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol," was directed by Brad Bird and co-starred Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton and Simon Pegg.
