FREMONT -- Tylan Vinson threw for 131 and two touchdowns, all in the first half, as the Washington High football team took advantage of three American turnovers to roll 41-0 in a Mission Valley Athletic League contest at Tak Fudenna Stadium.

Washington turned two fumbles and an interception into 20 points while keeping the Eagles potent rushing attack in check all game long.

After Vinson was picked off by Deangelo Cox at the Eagles 2 on the Huskies opening possession, Nate Woudstra picked off a Ryan Barker pass and returned it 12 yards for a Washington touchdown with 6:04 left in the opening quarter.

The Huskies (2-3, 2-0 MVAL) then exploded for 27 points in the second as Woudstra scored on runs of 5 and 2 yards just 56 seconds apart to extend the Huskies lead to 20-0. Vinson then hit Jordan Smith for a 9-yard score before conntecting with Terrance Jones for a 41-yard scoring play with 1:16 left in the half.

Jones added a 37-yard touchdown reception from backup quarterback Jordan Montoya to finish with five receptions for 113 yards.

Jared Luty led the Eagles with 31 rushing yards on 10 carries as American (3-2, 0-1) was held to just 81 yards, all on the ground.
