North Cleremont Street, 8:20 a.m. Tuesday Police are seeking a man who approached a 15-year-old girl from behind and solicited her for sex. The Spanish-speaking male in his 40s, about 5 feet, 4 inches tall with a medium build, appeared heavily intoxicated, according to the girl and the store owner whose surveillance camera recorded the incident.

Winchester Circle, 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday A motorcycle was stolen.

Lynn Avenue, 2:03 p.m. Saturday A male who reported his motorcycle stolen said the theft occurred sometime in January.

West Main Street and North Santa Cruz Avenue, 1:28 a.m. Sunday Police arrested a 21-year-old man on public intoxication and felony vandalism charges.

East Hillsdale Boulevard, 2:45 p.m. Feb. 12 A female reported her truck stolen.

Rigel Lane, 2:35 p.m. Feb. 13 A 911 hang-up was received. Police called back and learned that everything was OK, that the female who had a car hood slam down on her hand had declined medical attention.

Catamaran Street, 3:30 p.m. Feb. 13 Two yellow kayaks were reported stolen.

Foster City Boulevard, 5:24 a.m. Feb. 14 A male sitting in a vehicle appeared suspicious to a passer-by. Police contacted the male and determined he was a resident trying to watch a film without disturbing his family.

North of the San Mateo Bridge, 9:38 p.m. Feb. 14 Officers were unable to locate a person seen directing a green laser at incoming aircraft.

Foster City Boulevard, 8:15 a.m. Feb. 15 A homeless person found sleeping inside the sauna at a gym was escorted off the property.

Mainsail Court, 1:49 p.m. Sunday A female was threatened with arrest by a bogus caller who said he was with San Mateo police and needed immediate payment for an outstanding warrant.

Compass Lane, 8:18 a.m. Monday A resident received a call from an alleged deputy sheriff who told him he had a warrant and wanted payment to take care of it.

Argus Court, 4:07 p.m. Monday A resident reported being duped into wiring money by a caller who told her a family member visiting a foreign country had been involved in an accident and needed funds for medical expenses.

300 block of Valdez Avenue, 11:53 a.m. Monday A man seen peeking in a bedroom window ran off when spotted, joined a female in a black, four-door vehicle and sped off.

North Cabrillo Highway, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday A vehicle was stolen from a parking lot at a shopping center.

FREMONT

39300 Paseo Padre Parkway, 10:45 a.m. Jan. 17 A witness with a smartphone snapped several photos of a middle-aged man vandalizing a Toyota Corolla in the parking lot of 24-Hour Fitness, breaking the driver's-side windows with a golf club and then reaching inside and rummaging through the owner's belongings.

43250 Grimmer Blvd., 2:40 p.m. Monday Fremont Gas & Food Mart was robbed by an armed man in his 20s.

Springwater Drive, Monday A resident returned to find his home had been burglarized.

Highway 880 and Warren Avenue, 10:30 p.m. Tuesday A high-speed chase along Interstate 880 followed by a shelter-in-place advisory for residents in the Martis Street area culminated in the arrests of a 25-year-old Fremont man for auto burglary, felony evading and resisting arrest, and possession of stolen property, and a 33-year-old Santa Clara woman on resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation charges. Stolen property recovered included a rental vehicle, a Fremont police officer's loaded gun, holster and badge and work-related belongings stolen from a firefighter's vehicle in Pleasanton.

100 block of Middlefield Road, 12:04 p.m. Tuesday Police booked a 42-year-old woman into jail on burglary charges.

Covington Road, 3-7 p.m. Monday A green Acura Integra was stolen.

Village Drive, 9:50 p.m. Monday A 1992 Acura was stolen sometime after 8:30 a.m.

Ralston Avenue and El Camino Real, 7:59 a.m. Tuesday A male in a white Scion upset with another driver made a gesture with his hand, then got out of his car and hit the other driver's vehicle with his fist.

5970 Mowry Ave., 7:26 p.m. Feb. 5 A 21-year-old masked bandit, a regular customer at Green Food & Liquor who thought he could fool clerks with a white bandana over his face when he tried to rob the store with a BB gun, was staying with his parents at Chase Suite Hotel Newark nearby when located and arrested.

5700 block of Civic Terrace Avenue, 11:11 a.m. Feb. 7 Three males who kicked in the front door of a residence and soon after an interior door where a female was hiding ran out when she screamed and sped off in a small black or maroon sport utility vehicle.

39839 Mowry School Road, Feb. 8 Two people who stole an iPad from a vehicle parked at Chuck E. Cheese were arrested at a 7-Eleven in north Fremont after the vehicle owner pinpointed their location with a computer application.

200 NewPark Mall, 9:04 p.m. Feb. 10 A pair of shoplifters, a mother-daughter duo from Berkeley, were arrested at Macy's.
