CONCORD -- Early Sunday afternoon saw the short closing of Interstate 680 after a two-car crash between an SUV and a truck towing a trailer caused one to overturn and blocked a lane, police said.

The collision was reported around 12:35 p.m. in the northbound direction near the Concord Avenue exit, according to the California Highway Patrol. The lane was reopened at 1:10 p.m.

Fire and medical crews went to the scene, but the extent of the injuries were not known at press time.
