Free diabetes screening — 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Washington Hospital's mobile health clinic, WOW (Washington on wheels), is offering free diabetes screenings to local residents at Family Resource Center, 39155 Liberty Street, Fremont. To achieve more accurate results, it's recommended that participants don't eat or drink anything for 12 hours before testing; however, this is not mandatory.

Teen/Senior computer connection — 2 to 5 p.m. Fremont Main Library will provide trained teen volunteers to help seniors (60 and older) with free computer training. No reservations are required. Seniors can drop in any time between 2 and 5 p.m on Mondays and learn to use the Internet, e-mail, word processing, computer basics and more. Niles dog show — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The annual dog show is held at the Community Park, Third and H Streets. On-site registration at 9 a.m. Fun show for dogs of any breed or mix, with ribbons awarded in several classes — local office-holders will hand out the awards. Purebred dogs are welcome, but emphasis is on companion animals that make good family pets. Show also features performing and agility demonstrations, adoption parade by Tri-City Mobile Adoption Center, an information center and vendor village offering food, drink and exhibit wares.
