  • The A's franchise record for most innings played in a game is 24, when the Philadelphia A's beat the Boston Red Sox 4-1 on Sept. 1, 1906. That game is tied for third longest in major league history.

  • The major league record for longest game is 26 innings, set on May 1, 1920 when the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Boston Braves played to a 1-1 tie (yes, a tie in baseball).
