OAKLAND — Players, coaches and managers talk all the time about all the video they watch.

There are times they don't, too. For A's manager Bob Melvin, one of those is after a loss. It takes a while to unwind from a loss, and when he gets back home the last thing he wants to do is watch baseball.

``Usually I'll sit there for an hour watching something,'' Melvin said, ``and after it if you asked me what it was that I'd watched, I couldn't tell you.''

The manager said he does like to watch either ``Friends'' or ``Seinfeld,'' as the adrenalin ebbs,

After Friday's 3-2 loss to the Tigers, Melvin said he went to bed about 2 a.m. That, he said is in the middle of his usual range after a night game, which is somewhere between 1 and 3 a.m.

``After a loss I won't watch any baseball,'' he said.
