OAKLAND -- An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to determine the cause of death of a man found Sunday wrapped in fabric in the back seat of a car parked near Arroyo Viejo Park in East Oakland, authorities said.
Police have yet to confirm the man's identity but believe he is from another East Bay city.
The body was found around 5 p.m. in a car in the 2400 block of Ritchie Street near Olive Street not far from the park.
Police on the scene could not see if there was any trauma to the body.
Investigators were also trying to determine how long the car had been parked in the area.
Anyone with information about the body is asked to call investigators at 510-238-3821.
