SAN JOSE -- Motorists hoping for a break at the gas pumps will have to wait a little bit longer.

The average price of a gallon of gas in San Jose on Wednesday remained at $4.67, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report. The cost per gallon is up by more than 50 cents from a week ago.

The average price of $4.68 on Monday was an all-time high in the San Jose area, according to the Daily Fuel Gaure Report.

Prices at pumps in Oakland and San Francisco dropped 1 cent overnight. In Oakland, the average price remained at $4.67; in San Francisco, the average price today is $4.73.
