MENLO PARK -- A Truckee man was behind bars Sunday on suspicion of attempted murder following an early morning shooting at a city home.
Geoffrey Smith, 24, was arrested after officers said he fired shots into a Menlo Park home in the 1300 block of Windermere Avenue, said Sgt. Tim Brackett.
Officers were called just before 1:30 a.m. to the residence for a report of shots fired at the home. There, the victims told police they knew Smith and that they had gotten into an argument before he fired several shots at them.
No one was injured.
Residents provided a description of the suspect to police and officers located him driving away from the scene, Brackett said.
Officers stopped Smith and arrested him on suspicion of attempted murder, after a handgun was found in his vehicle, Brackett said. He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 650-330-6300.
