RICHMOND -- The Richmond Police Department will conduct a DUI sobriety checkpoint in the city's North and East Neighborhood on Saturday night.

The checkpoint will run from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. at undisclosed intersections, said Lt. Andre Hill.

DUI checkpoints held in the city in recent months are funded by California Office of Traffic Safety grants.

Volunteers from the Bay Area chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving will be on location with police patrol units, Hill said.
