RICHMOND -- The Richmond Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Saturday in the city's central district.
The checkpoint will run from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. at an undisclosed intersection, according to a police news release.
DUI checkpoints held in the city in recent months are funded through a grant the department secured from the California Office of Traffic Safety, Lt. Andre Hill wrote.
Volunteers from the Bay Area chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving will be on location with police patrol.
