SAN PABLO -- A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter hoisted three stranded boaters to safety Friday after their boat stalled in shallow water near San Pablo Bay.
The Coast Guard Sector San Francisco Command Center was notified of a disabled 18-foot recreational vessel anchored in Sonoma Creek around 11 a.m. Friday and sent an Air Station crew to perform the rescue, Coast Guard officials said.
The two adults and 7-year-old child were wearing lifejackets at the time. The boaters' conditions were not immediately known.
