EL CERRITO -- A fire damaged a home's carport Monday morning in the El Cerrito hills, a fire official said.

The fire was reported at 10:53 a.m. on the 900 block of Seaview Drive, according to El Cerrito Fire Department Battalion Chief Larry Carr. Debris inside the carport burned, and there was minor damage to an adjacent home, Carr said. Three people home at the time of the fire were not injured, but were displaced because of damage to the home.

Fire officials are investigating if the blaze is connected to two nearby wildfires from over the past weekend, Carr said.
