A 43-year-old Mountain View man was arrested Friday on suspicion of committing lewd and lascivious acts against two young sisters, police reported.

The suspect, identified as Ramiro Palacios, was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail in San Jose, according to a Mountain View Police Department press release.

The parents of two girls, ages 7 and 10, reported the abuse to police immediately after hearing that a man had touched them inappropriately, the statement said.

An investigation revealed that after making contact with the children for several days at an apartment complex on the 400 block of Moffett Boulevard where he worked as a handyman, Palacios lured them separately to a secluded area of the facility and touched them, police said.

Police are seeking the public's help in identifying other potential victims. People with information are requested to contact Detective Jessica Nanez at 650-903-6395. To leave an anonymous tip, call 650-961-5800 or send a text to 274637 and include MVTips in your message.
