OAKLAND -- No signs of foul play were found during an autopsy Tuesday on a 47-year-old woman found dead Monday morning in the front yard of a vacant East Oakland house, but the exact cause of death has been deferred pending toxicology test results, authorities said.

At this point, police do not consider the death a homicide, Sgt. Eric Milina said.

Authorities noted the woman had a history of medical issues that may have contributed to her death but did not get more specific.

The Oakland woman was found about 7 a.m. Monday in the front yard of the house in the 400 block of 105th Avenue by contractors doing work there. There was no trauma to her body.

It has not been determined how long the woman was in the yard before she was found. She was not there when contractors left the site about 6 p.m. Saturday.
