Police arrested two motorists in connection with an early morning three-car crash on Interstate 880 that forced the closure of all northbound lanes just north of High Street in Oakland.
The two motorists were both arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, California Highway Patrol Officer Kevin Bartlett said. No one sustained major injuries.
The crash was called into authorities at 4:59 a.m. Tuesday. A Sig-alert was issued at 5:17 to clear the freeway, which was reopened at 6:18 a.m.
