OAKLAND -- A taxicab driver was stabbed over the weekend outside of the MacArthur BART station, police said.

About 6:48 p.m. Saturday, a man got into a cab outside of the BART station on 40th Street, got into an argument with the driver, then stabbed the driver with a knife, Officer Kevin McDonald said.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, and the driver was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

As of Sunday, police did not have the suspect in custody.
