OAKLAND -- Firefighters made quick work of a single-alarm house fire Wednesday morning.

No one was injured.

The fire was reported about 5:58 a.m. at a single-family dwelling in the 4500 block of Pampas Avenue, according to an Oakland fire dispatcher.

The fire was declared under control by 6:20 a.m. and was completely out by about 6:50, she added.

The cause was still under investigation. There was no immediate estimate on damage to the home.
