SANTA CLARA -- Expect dry, chilly conditions when the 49ers host the Green Bay Packers in Saturday night's divisional-round playoff game at Candlestick Park.
Temperatures are predicted to be in the mid-to-high 40s, according to CBS5 weather anchor Roberta Gonzales.
Kickoff is set for 5 p.m., sunset for 5:12 p.m.
Partly cloudy skies and light winds are expected, though anyone familiar with Candlestick knows that swirling winds can cause havoc. Chilly nights used to earn you a Croix de Candlestick pin back in the day for Giants fans who battled extra-inning, night-game elements, during the 49ers' previous glory years (as opposed to the current glory years).
Last season's two playoff games at Candlestick were different weather creatures. The divisional win over the New Orleans Saints Saints came with a 1:35 p.m. kickoff under sunny, dry skies at 63 degrees. The NFC Championship loss to the Giants kicked off at 3:41 p.m., when it was 52 degrees, raining and with 15 mph winds.
