FREMONT -- A Grammy-nominated folk singer is scheduled to give a fundraising concert at a Centerville district church on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
John McCutcheon, who is celebrating his 40th year as a touring musical performer, will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. James Episcopal Church in Fremont. McCutcheon plays more than 15 musical instruments and has recorded about 35 albums.
A portion of the concert's proceeds will be donated to Adobe Services, a Fremont organization working to end homelessness in the Tri-City area. Also, McCutcheon will donate $1 from the sale of each CD, DVD or book sold at the show to Friends of the Fremont Library.
General admission tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children ages 6 and older, and free for kids ages 5 and younger. The church is at 37051 Cabrillo Drive, near Thornton Avenue.
