ANTIOCH -- A 34-year-old Antioch resident killed in a car crash Sunday night may have been texting while driving, police said.

No one else was injured in the crash. A coroner's deputy identified the man killed as Juan Herrera Prieto late Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the 2300 block of Wilbur Avenue around 8:37 p.m. after a witness reported hearing the crash, then found the car in a vacant lot nearby.

Investigators said in a news release they believe that the car ran off the road and through a fence, rolled over and ejected the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. No other cars were involved, and Herrera Prieto was riding alone, police said.
