MORAGA -- Officers are investigating two residential burglaries Monday where the suspects broke into the homes by kicking in doors, police said.

Both homes were unoccupied at the time and no one was injured, said Moraga Police Officer Jeff Price.

Police said a white vehicle with a rear spoiler may be involved and are asking residents to be alert and report suspicious people, vehicles and circumstances.

The first burglary occurred sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Monday on Larch Avenue. The burglar kicked in the front door to get inside the home, police said.

The second break-in was sometime between 1:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Calle La Mesa, where the thief kicked in a side garage door, police said.

The two streets are about four miles apart. Mostly jewelry was taken from both homes, Price said.

Anyone with additional information should call Price at 925-260-2143.
