A brother, sister and their mother were shot during a home invasion in Vallejo early Thursday morning in what police are characterizing as a "random attack," Vallejo Lt. Kenny Park said.
Officers responded at about 3:40 a.m. to a report of a disturbance and shots fired at a home in the 1500 block of McDougal Street in north Vallejo, Park said.
They arrived to find three victims who said they woke up in the middle of the night and heard someone forcing their way through the front door, Park said.
One victim, a woman in her 20s, first encountered the suspects inside the house, and at least one fired a gun at her, striking her in the hand, Park said.
