LAFAYETTE -- Police found a homemade chemical bomb in the front yard of a home Sunday morning, but the device did not explode.
No one was injured. No arrests were announced in a statement from Lafayette Police.
The device was reported about 7:30 a.m. Sunday at a home on the 3200 block of Glenside Drive. It was contained inside a soda bottle, police said.
Police responded and rendered the device safe. Investigators did not know how long the device had been in the yard, or who had placed it there.
