Contra Costa residents with a business, pension fund investment or banking background are being sought for an at-large seat on the Contra Costa County Employees' Retirement Association board of trustees.

Trustee and former Richmond Councilwoman Maria Viramontes' three-year term expires June 30, and county supervisors expect to interview applicants in the spring.

To be considered, candidates must live in Contra Costa County and cannot be an association member. Prospective trustees also may not market any investment, consulting or related services to the retirement agency.

The board meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m. Members receive $100 per meeting up to $500 per month plus reimbursement for expenses.

The filing deadline is 5 p.m. April 5.
