ACLC hosts information night, school tours
The Alameda Community Learning Center, a charter middle and high school, is holding an information night on Feb. 25. The middle school meeting is from 6-7 p.m., and the high school meeting is from 7:30-8:30 pm.

'48-Hour Photography Challenge' begins
The Frank Bette Center for the Arts is hosting the "48-Hour Photography Challenge," which begins at 9 p.m. today 2/22 and continues through Sunday. 2/24
During the event, 48 photographers will have 48 hours to document 48 areas of Alameda. Their work will be shown at the seventh Alameda On Camera Exhibit, which will run April 5—June 1 at the center.

Tree trimming planned on Park Street
City workers will be trimming trees along Park Street for ongoing care and maintenance.
The work will be performed in three phases and is expected to take about three weeks, weather permitting.
The first phase will begin Monday and continue through March 1. The trees are located on Park Street from Lincoln Avenue to San Jose Avenue; on Santa Clara Avenue from Oak Street to Park Avenue; and on Central Avenue from Oak Street to Park Avenue.
The work will take place from 6 a.m.-3 p.m.
The second phase will take place March 4-6 on Park Street from Blanding Avenue to Lincoln Avenue.
The third phase will take place March 7 through March 15 on Park Street from San Jose Avenue to Shoreline Drive.
