OAKLAND -- Home court was a catwalk of sorts for the Golden State Warriors on Friday, as the team trotted out the new uniform in front of a sold-out house and national audience at the Oracle Arena.

The unorthodox look has divided uniform fashionistas with compliments matched by derision in online back-and-forth in the 10 days since the unveiling. For those calling it "innovative" there's always someone else describing it as a "mismatched mess."

The rollout coincided with a big game against the San Antonio Spurs and attention from ESPN, a good time for the golden boys to model the short-sleeve-and-pinstripe-shorts look for fans. And, at least some hoped it would give them an advantage.

"They look pretty cool, different. It's a lot of yellow, though," said Tanya Baker, of Lafayette. "Maybe if we can blind the Spurs, we can beat them."
