HAYWARD -- Police are asking the public for help in locating a Hayward mother who went missing last week.
Samantha Tuia, 29, was last seen leaving her home in the 27800 block of Havana Avenue just before noon on Feb. 19, said Sgt. Eric Krimm.
Tuia, who has a 6-year-old daughter, told family she was headed to work that day but police later learned she was not employed, Krimm said.
Her family reported her missing the morning of Feb. 20, police said.
"We have nothing to indicate this is foul play so, for now, it's presumably a voluntary disappearance. But we still want to locate her," Krimm said Tuesday.
Tuia's daughter's father lives in Sacramento, Krimm said.
Police described Tuia as a Samoan woman, 5 feet 8, 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, a gray sweater and black slacks.
