SAN LEANDRO -- Police are asking the public for help in locating an 11-year-old boy who went missing last week.
Myles Oliverez was last seen about 7:25 a.m. on Feb. 25 when he was dropped off at Madison Elementary School at 14571 Juniper St. in San Leandro and then failed to return home from school, said Lt. Randy Brandt.
Myles lives with his foster mother in San Leandro, but his natural mother Michelle Oliverez has been trying to reunite with him since their separation, police said.
"We suspect he may be with his natural mother," Brandt said."There are no signs of foul play in this case and all possible leads have been exhausted. We are asking for community assistance to help us locate Myles and return him home."
Michelle Oliverez has no known address and is known to frequent several East Bay cities including Berkeley, Richmond and Oakland.
Police said Myles is black, 4 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has black hair and black eyes and was last seen wearing a black sweater, blue shirt and black sweatpants.
