SAN LEANDRO -- Some residents were without power in the city Thursday morning after a car slammed into a power pole, authorities said.

Officers responded to a 5:39 a.m. report of a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of St. Marys Avenue and Dutton Street, just west of Interstate 580, a dispatcher said.

It was not immediately known what caused the wreck or if anyone was injured.

It was also not known how many customers in the area lost power. But according to PG&E's website, at least two customers were still without power as of 8:30 a.m.
