MENTAL HEALTH ON AGENDA: Mental health care providers will discuss Contra Costa County services at the March 20 evening meeting of the Diablo Valley Democratic Club.
Titled "County Mental Health Services: What's Working, What's Needed," the free panel discussion begins at 7 p.m. at the Ygnacio Valley Library, 2661 Oak Grove Road, Walnut Creek.
Speakers are John Gragnani and Walter Gorski, Contra Costa County Mental Health Division mental health specialists; Brenda Crawford, executive director of Mental Health Consumer Concerns, a nonprofit agency advocating for people with severe mental illness; and Lori Hefner, a gerontologist and fiduciary conservator who is appointed by the court to handle complex cases involving people unable to make decisions in their own best interest.
