RICHMOND -- BART Police have released a sketch of the man wanted for shooting and killing another man at the Richmond station in March, and are asking for the public's help in identifying him and a woman with him.
Raymond Harris, 34, of San Pablo was shot at 6:07 p.m. March 14 at the top of a stairway at the 19th Street and Macdonald Avenue entrance to the station, police said.
Harris was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man was also shot. He was released from the hospital that night, police said. Police have not released a motive in the shooting.
Police also have released surveillance video of an unidentified woman who was at the station during the shooting. The woman is shown arriving at the station with shooter, before walking away momentarily, then returning to the shooter when Harris was shot. The woman then walked away from the station with the shooter, police said.
The woman appears to be medium to dark skin, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a slender build, long dark hair past her shoulders and bangs. She was wearing a gray long-sleeved top, blue jeans, and carrying large red or pink handbag.
The shooter is described as a black man in his early-mid 20s, about 6 feet tall with a slender build, medium to dark complexion, wearing dark clothing with possible tan undershirt. He may have also been wearing a gray baseball cap with "Buffalo Bills" printed on the cap in red and blue.
