Drivers headed through Pittsburg and Antioch should expect several delays on Highway 4 this week as work continues to widen the road to eight lanes.
All lanes of eastbound Highway 4 will be closed in Pittsburg at Loveridge Road from 12:30 to 5:30 a.m. overnight Monday through Thursday, and 1:30 to 5:30 a.m. Friday. All westbound lanes closed between the Somersville Road/Auto Center Drive exit in Antioch and Loveridge from 11 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. on those nights, and midnight to 3:30 a.m. Friday, according to a Caltrans news release.
Also this week, a single eastbound lane will be closed between Railroad Avenue and Loveridge from midnight to 6 a.m. overnight Monday through Thursday and 1 to 7 a.m. Friday. A single westbound lane will be closed between the Contra Loma Boulevard/L Street exit and interchange with Highway 160 from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.
One westbound lane will also be closed from Somersville/Auto Center to Loveridge from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. overnight Monday through Thursday and midnight to 6 a.m. overnight Friday.
The eastbound Hillcrest Avenue onramps will be closed from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Monday through Thursday.
